Beautiful in early morning and evening when the boats return from fishing in the old port. It 's the closest weekend for the people from Milan and the surrounding region. Nice small beaches are here and the sea here is nice and close and Do not come by car. Take a bus and when in Santa Margherita ask for the "oven Pinamonti" to eat one of the most delicious " focaccia " in the area. Try them all and surely " the onion one " ... and fall victim to the focaccia of Pinamonti for life.
The beaches are after Covo di Nord Est ( follow the road along the sea for 500 yards and keeping the sea on the left). If you choose those that face the south, the sun last till late. The water is clean and you can eat and have a sun-bed without fainting for the price. Santa can be reached by bus from Rapallo in 15 minutes and by train in 4 minutes which is definitely less crowded.
