Dedicated songs and poems has been written to this little bay, Frank Sinatra has also found his love says a famous record, (note: Frank Sinatra was born in " Monleone " about 40 km from the camping). The small fishing village, once a den of scoundrels and pirates seems to derive its name from Porto Delphinis as dolphins wandering through the marine park, with the stormy sea, could stay here without incurring the fury of elements.

Today is a destination for VIPs and curious travelers from around the world, certainly unique as a destination, it offers its best in spring and autumn, in summer it is better to get there early in the morning when the colors are at their best and the crowds of visitors are still not present.

Do not miss the walk to the lighthouse that passes by the Church above Portofino with a view that extends to infinity ... and pay a visit y to the cemetery to greet the English and French poets who rest. Bring water and a hat if you go to the Lighthouse that is a couple of kilometers.

Arrive by boat to Portofino from Rapallo or Santa Margherita if you prefer, and remember the water and a hat. In Portofino you can catch a ferry that runs to Camogli and after visiting this marvellous spot, back to Rapallo by train in about 9 minutes. Enjoy your trip :-)

You can reach it by road from Santa Margherita, is a lovely walk which begins from the center of the city, keep the sea on your left and straight on for about 3 km. In Paraggi try to notice, after the pay parking, a path that starts in the direction of Portofino and rising a few feet in the bushes ... take it and follow it will take you to Portofino in the cool shade of the plants.
