Genoa is a wonderful city, the largest historical center of Italy, the largest aquarium in Europe 's more than 200 palaces, magnificent frescoed interiors show off in anonymous stable that surprise once inside. Hidden streets, where De Andrè has found inspiration for his songs, will take you through alleys that still seems those of the old city of a thousand trades, streets where "Bocca di rosa" greet smiling, where aromas from all over the world caresses you, where shops of the last century have merchandise from all corners of the earth (go to Via Prè  for a 'piece' of Africa ").

Acquario

The largest aquarium in Europe 'is the most visited spot of the  Genoese city with nearly 1 million visitors a year. It is located in the "Porto Antico" facing " Caricamento ". It is easily accessible on foot from railway station " Genova Principe " and with an easy stroll of 10 minutes.
And here is the symbol of the city from 1549 :-) she guide the sailors safely to the port. 117 meters high from the sea to top, is actually based on a rock 40 meters high. The walk to get there has been restored and if you can not miss the opportunity to climb it for an amazing sight.
Over 1700 years of history, the historic part of Genoa, indeed is the 4th century, which identifies the existence of a
2 Civitas " , even if a true market town sees light only in the sixth century. In any case, a huge old center where walking and getting lost is easy ... and do not forget to keep looking up to see the beautiful buildings that appear to be around every corner.... don't miss the Prince Doria Palaces.

Kid's City

The city of children and young people is of Genoa is the largest structure in Italy dedicated to gaming, science and technology, for children between 2 and 12 years of age. The city of children and young people has been designed and built "fit for children"even though much like returning to larger children.

Nervi i parchi ed i Musei

Do not miss to spend a special day in the middle of the Roses and exotic trees and if you want to feed squirrels from your hands.
Extensive lawns where your kids can play and lying on the grass for a snack... approach the squirrels accustomed to visitors. The museums are small though they are beautiful and valuable pieces, the one with " Futurismo " paint is not to be missed ( byt the " all museum ticket ). You can eat excellent " pesto "  in the bar / restò in the park and if you want to go swimming a few steps away is the sea.
To make a nice visit you MUST buy, at least, a small guide or a map of the city that can be found in tourist information offices or at kiosks in the train station in Genoa. Forget going for a stroll if it is not what you want .. is a tangle of streets and alleys, and you risk, without a map, to find nothing of what is wonderful in this "superb"city. For the best view go to " Spianata Castelletto " and prepare yourself to get astonished.
